I think my husband picked up on the frustration and finally caved in. This mixer is a nice machine that really does the job. It is nice and large, with a good deal of capacity. The motor seems good and powerful, and really gets the job done. I can easily mix up two batches of cookies at one time, without stressing the mixer.As an added bonus, I guess because the motor is so powerful, the mixer is relatively quiet - not the sort to break your eardrums.
